When Christopher Columbus landed on the island of San Salvador in 1492, what he found had been the Taino Indians. Advised from a younger Taino boy’s perspective, it is a story of how the boy tried to warn his folks towards welcoming the strangers, who appeared extra serious about golden ornaments than friendship. Years later the boy, now an outdated man, appears to be like again on the destruction of his folks and their tradition by the colonizers.
