In 1999, psychic investigators Theo Lawson and Ness Patterson are called in to assist with a haunting story in the city. As they arrive, they immediately sense the heavy atmosphere surrounding them. Quickly, they realize that there is no safe place in the city, as the past seems to taint everything they encounter. This eerie experience is captured in the book "Psychic Surveys" where the two delve into the haunted mysteries.

As they approach the anniversary of the new millennium in their book "Psychic Surveys," the main goal of the characters is to guide spirits forward and purify the environment, allowing both the living and the deceased to have a fresh start. However, they encounter resistance from the spirits, leading Theo and Ness into a fierce battle against a force that preys on their deepest fears and can manipulate them in dangerous ways.
