You may prepare dinner with a saint: in a kitchen at dwelling or restaurant. I design, carve, and forged the items myself. I forged them in modified gypsum with bronze powder. The items come boxed, can stand or cling (there is a hook on the again), and may go outdoors (by a grill). Each bit comes with a historical past card stating: “Paschal Baylon (1540-92) was a Franciscan lay brother. Born on the border of Castile and Aragon of a poor shepherd household, he tended flocks as a youth. In his early twenties, he joined his non secular order. His charity to the poor and stricken and his humility and courtesy had been extraordinary even by Franciscan requirements. He labored as a gardener, doorkeeper, and prepare dinner, feeding the opposite friars and huge numbers of the poor who got here to the door of the friary. His skill as a baker and prepare dinner–his capability to take easy components and make scrumptious meals–turned legendary. Poorly educated, his counsel was sought by the wealthy and poor alike. On this picture, Paschal is proven at work in his kitchen, assisted by St. Martha, one other patron of cooks (her picture is within the tiny area of interest on the mantel). The piece was hand carved by Hank Schlau and forged by him. It was then hand painted by Karen Schlau.” Dimensions: 9 (h) x 4 (w) x 2 (d) inches. You probably have any drawback with the piece, tell us, and we’ll resolve the matter as rapidly as potential.
